A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL COMMUNICATION
EQUIPMENT AT A COST OF $29,660.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept bids and award a contract for the purchase of traffic
signal communications equipment as set forth in the attached fact
sheet, for a total price not to exceed $29,660.00, payable from
the funds specified in the fact sheet.

SUBJECT: Bid No. 5106 - Traffic Signal Equipment
BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Adoption of a resolution
authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract for
the purchase of traffic signal communications equipment from
the low bidder, "Southern Safety Supplies, Inc." at a cost
of $29,660.
This equipment will consist of communications units
necessary to tie new or upgraded intersections into the
City's computerized traffic control system. Those
intersections presently designated include Main and 14th,
Main and 17th, and Markham and Hooper. Additional purchased
units will be placed in other locations based on the
completion of traffic studies and the prioritizing of
requests based on needs.
Funds available for this purchase were previously
appropriated in Account No. 599- 8163 -8.02.
