A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND
THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO EXECUTE
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AN
AGREEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN LITTLE ROCK
AND PULASKI COUNTY RELATIVE TO SUBDIVISION
AUTHORITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Pulaski County has initiated an "Agreement of
Understanding" between itself and the cities of Sherwood,
Jacksonville, Little Rock and North Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement clarified the Planning Authority
of the respective cities and Pulaski County and specifies that
the City of Little Rock may exercise its planning jurisdiction
beyond its corporate limits as long as it properly coordinates
this review with the County; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement should be of significant benefit
to engineers and developers because it eliminates the duplication
of review by the County Planning Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager and the Mayor of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas are hereby authorized to execute on behalf
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas an "Agreement of
Understanding" between the County Judge of Pulaski County and the
cities of Sherwood, Jacksonville, Little Rock and North Little
Rock.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
