RESOLUTION NO. 7,527
A RESOLUTION THANKING AND COMMENDING JUDGE JOHN
B. PLEGGE FOR HIS DEDICATION, LEADERSHIP AND
OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE,
SECOND DIVISION FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, John B. Plegge has been an outstanding member
of the legal profession since 1962; and
WHEREAS, Judge Plegge is a lifetime resident of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, John B. Plegge was appointed Municipal Court
Judge for the Second Division of the Municipal Court of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas by Governor Bill Clinton on November.6,
1985; and
WHEREAS, since his appointment, 689 persons have
appeared before the Court for disposition of 984 charges, an
increase of fifty percent over the past six months, which has
helped to eliminate the ever growing backlog of cases within that
Court; and
WHEREAS, Judge Plegge has reduced the personnel of the
Municipal Court, thus saving the citizens of the City of Little
Rock over $50,000.00 in operating expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock hereby wishes to express its appreciation to Judge John B.
Plegge for his outstanding dedication, leadership and service to
the citizens of the City of Little Rock for which the Municipal
Court, Second Division, serves.
