A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC
SIGNAL HEADS AND HARDWARE FROM THE LOWEST
ACCEPTABLE BIDDER AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED
$78,755.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept the lowest acceptable bid and award a contract as set
forth in the attached fact sheet and bid tabulation for a
contract to purchase traffic signal heads and hardware from the
lowest acceptable bidder, Temple and Son, for a total price not
to exceed $78,755.00.
SECTION 2. Funds have previously been appropriated in
this amount from Special Projects Accounts No. 599 -8163 and No.
499 -8676.

SUBJECT: Bid No. 52371, Traffic Signal Heads
BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Adoption of a resolution
authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract for
purchase of traffic signal heads and hardware from the
lowest acceptable bidder, Temple and Son Electric Company,
Inc., at a cost not to exceed budget (total purchase cost is
estimated at $78,755).
Although Temple and Son was not low on every item, their bid
was submitted as "all or none." As such, they were low when
the total bid was tabulated with items split among the other
manufacturers ($80,608.40).
Funds available for this purchase were previously
appropriated in various accounts including Special Projects
599 -8163 and 499 -8676.
