RESOLUTION NO. 7,470
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS TO PARTICIPATE
IN THE CITY BRIDGE LOAD POSTING PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas understands
Federal -Aid Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation funds are
available for posting structures that are restricted by weight;
and
WHEREAS, it is understood that such bridge posting is
mandated by Federal regulations to insure public safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock will participate in
accordance with its designated responsibility in this project.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts
necessary to properly erect the signs at bridges eligible for
participation under this program.
SECTION 3. The City of Little Rock pledges its full
support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and
Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this
program.
