A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING THE PULASKI COUNTY
QUORUM COURT TO PROVIDE A SOURCE OF FUNDING
FOR THE FOURCHE CREEK DRAINAGE PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the severe flooding problems caused by Fourche
Creek have led to the loss of millions of dollars and more
tragically to the loss of human life; and
WHEREAS, the Fourche Creek Drainage Project has been a
top priority of the Little Rock Board of Directors for several
years, and
WHEREAS, the State of Arkansas and the City of Little
Rock have provided their respective portions of funding for the
completion of the Fourche Creek Drainage Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock encourages the Pulaski County Quorum Court to provide
a source of funding for the County's portion of the Fourche Creek
Drainage Project so that this community on behalf of all of its
citizens will be spared from the further devastion that may be
caused by the flooding of Fourche Creek.
