A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH MANES, CASTIN, MASSIE
& McGETRICH, INC., AND GARVER AND GARVER, INC.
TO PREPARE THE EXTRATERRITORIAL LAND USE PLAN
AND ANNEXATION STUDY.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors for the City of Little
Rock adopted a resolution in 1984 directing that a studv of
extraterritorial lands be conducted to determine the future
growth of the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, in preparation for entering into a contract for
such a study, the Office of Comprehensive Planning coordinated
the composition of a Consultant Selection Committee to review
proposals; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant Selection Committee is
recommending the selection of the firm of Manes, Castin, Massie &
McGetrich, Inc. in joint venture with Garver and Garver, Inc.;
and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission has also
endorsed the selection of Manes, Castin, Massie & McGetrich, Inc.
in joint venture with Garver and Garver, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Manes, Castin, Massie and McGetrich,
Inc. in joint venture with Garver and Garver, Inc. to prepare an
