RESOLUTION NO. 7,443
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING KATV, CHANNEL 7,
FOR THEIR DEDICATION AND SUPPORT OF THE
CRIMESTOPPER PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, KATV, Channel 7, has filmed over 307 television
segments for the Crimestopper program; and
WHEREAS, the sixth anniversary of these programs will be
celebrated this month; and
WHEREAS, over 200 volunteer actors and actresses have
participated in assisting the Little Rock Police Department in
solving these crimes; and
WHEREAS, Channel 7 has given numerous hours of airtime
and publicity in an attempt to reduce crime within the City of
Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
hereby commends Dale Nicholson, President and General Manager,
of KATV, Channel 7, and Ron Hoof and Mike Herman, camera
operators, for the invaluable service they are performing for
this community in attempting to help solve serious crimes within
the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. The Board of Directors recognizes that these
programs have greatly assisted the Little Rock Police Department
in solving several crimes in the Little Rock community. Due to
KATV's dedication, support and commitment to this project, the
citizens of Little Rock have a safer place in which-to live.
