A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE LITTLE ROCK
PLANNING COMMISSION CONCERNING
NEGOTIATION AND ACQUISITION OF LAND
LYING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF
HERMITAGE ROAD AND AUTUMN ROAD FOR
THE ROCK CREEK PARKWAY.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommendation of
denial of rezoning and acquisition of the subject site is
well founded; and
WHEREAS, more than 908 of the subject land is within
the projected right -of -way of the Rock Creek Parkway; and
WHEREAS, the property is a necessary element in the
eventual construction of the parkway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to enter into negotiations for purchase of the land with a
view toward acquisition of the entire site.
