RESOLUTION NO. 7,558
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING COLLECTION OF A
SERVICE CHARGE ON ALL RETURNED CHECKS
WRITTEN TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock receives several thousand
dollars worth of returned checks each year; and
WHEREAS, the burden of collecting money owed to the City
requires additional work and is an extreme inconvenience to the
normal job responsibilities of City employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The various departments within the City of
Little Rock are hereby authorized pursuant to Ark. Stat. Ann.
Section 67- 722(3) to charge a ten dollar (510.00) service charge
for all returned checks written to the City of Little Rock.
