A RESOLUTION LIFTING THE THREE UNITS
PER ACRE SEWER LIMITATION IN THE
LITTLE MAUMELLE RIVER VALLEY.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee
through its resolution dated December 18, 1985, has
recommended that the three units per acre service
limitation in the Little Maumelle River Valley be
discontinued; and
WHEREAS, certain improvements have been planned and
construction authorized to eliminate the density restriction
in the Little Maumelle River Valley area; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee has
adopted a Capacity Contribution Policy which allows for
construction of facilities needed to accommodate land
development exceeding the design capacity of existing sewer
facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock previously adopted Resolution No. 6,345 dated
May 28, 1980, establishing sanitary sewer service
limitations in the Little Maumelle River Valley service
area; and
WHEREAS, these limitations are no longer necessary and
the Board of Directors wishes to encourage growth in the
City of Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby lifts the
three unit per acre sewer limitation applicable to the
Little Maumelle River Valley service area.
SECTION 2. The previous Resolution No. 6,345 is hereby
declared to be no longer in effect.

SECTION 3. Due to a number of building projects being 4
dependent upon immediate adoption of this resolution, an
emergency is declared to exist, and as a result, this
resolution shall be effective immediately upon passage.
