3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE USES OF THE BALANCE
4 OF 2004 HOME FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, on September 9, 2003. the Board of Directors approved funding for
7 a portion of the 2004 HOME Program Grant funds, and
8 WHEREAS, funds were set aside for CHDO's and for undesignated projects, and
9 WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals was advertised and applications accepted
10 regarding the allocation of the reserved funds, and
11 WHEREAS, it was the recommendation of the Project Review Committee that
12 HOME CHDO funds be allocated to Black Community Developers in the amount of
13 Two Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) and HOME funds to Paul
14 E. Evans in the amount of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00).
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board recommends allocation of the balance of 2004 HOME
18 funds as follows:
19 Black Community Developers $275,000.00
20 Paul E. Evans 60,000.00
21 $335,000.00
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
23 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
24 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
25 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so

declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions are hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency.
