3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DAVIDSON ELECTRIC COMPANY TO
5 INSTALL STANDBY GENERATORS FOR SOUTHWEST POLICE,
6 NORTHWEST POLICE AND POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred
10 Thirty-five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement
11 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and
12 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to
13 be issued included Police and Fire projects, and
14 WHEREAS, an Invitation to Bid was issued on April 28, 2004, for installation of
15 City- supplied standby generators to supply emergency electrical power at Southwest
16 Police, Northwest Police and Police Training Academy, which would allow each
17 location to continue to provide essential services during electrical outages, and
18 WHEREAS, Davidson Electric Company submitted the lowest responsible and
19 responsive bid in the amount of One Hundred Forty-three Thousand, Seven Hundred
20 Eighty-five Dollars ($143,785.00);
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
22 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
24 into a contract with Davidson Electric Company to install standby generators on
25 Southwest Police, Northwest Police and Police Training Academy in the amount of One
26 Hundred Forty-three Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($143,785.00).

I Section 2. Funds for this project are to be allocated from the $70,635,000 Limited
2 Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004).
3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
4 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
5 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
6 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
7 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
8 resolution.
9 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
10 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
11 of such inconsistency.
