3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT FRIDAY ELDREDGE & CLARK AS
4 BOND COUNSEL FOR THE PROPOSED 2004 CAPITAL EQUIPMENT
s SHORT -TERM FINANCING PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, it is necessary to have bond counsel to work with the City to perform
e legal work related to the short -term financing of capital equipment for 2004, and
9 WHEREAS, the City requested proposals from qualified firms to handle this work,
10 and
ii WHEREAS, the proposals were reviewed by a selection committee designated in
12 accordance with City ordinance, and
13 WHEREAS, the committee has concluded that the law firm of Friday Eldredge &
14 Clark is the most qualified to handle the legal work, and has the knowledge and experience
is with similar financings in Arkansas and nationally.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
is SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
19 with Friday Eldredge & Clark to act as bond counsel for the 2004 short -term financing
20 project of capital expenditures.
