6 DISPOSAL TRUCK IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED
7 SIXTY -ONE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED NINETY AND
8 NO /100 DOLLARS ($261,990.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, FEMA approved a request by the Little Rock Fire Department to
11 purchase a Bomb Disposal Truck under its Grant Program, and
12 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. C04220, Pierce Manufacturing submitted the
13 most responsible and responsive bid for such equipment, in the amount of Two
14 Hundred Sixty-One Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety and no /100 Dollars ($261,990.00);
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
18 into a contract with Pierce Manufacturing to purchase one Bomb Disposal Truck for the
19 Fire Department, for an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Sixty-One Thousand, Nine
20 Hundred Ninety and no /100 Dollars ($261,990.00).
21 Section 2. Funding for this purchase will be from FEMA Grant Account #700-
22 340 - X049 - 7060 -10.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
24 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
