117210 0 1 RESOLUTION NO. 11,721 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH LEECO TO 5 PROVIDE LEATHER STRUCTURAL FIREFIGHTING BOOTS 6 TO UNIFORMED PERSONNEL OF THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE 7 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. E.� 9 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department Safety Committee has 10 recommended the use of a leather structural firefighting boot that is approved by 11 NFPA, and 12 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. C04011 opened March 18, 2004, LEECO 13 submitted the most responsible and responsive bid for such boots, said bid being for an 14 amount of Seventy-four Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety-Five and 45/100 Dollars 15 ($74,495.45), after a trade -in of rubber firefighting boots in the Little Rock Fire 16 Department inventory that will no longer be used. 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 18 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 20 into an annual contract with LEECO to purchase leather structured firefighting boots 21 for all uniformed personnel of the Little Rock Fire Department, for an amount not to 22 exceed Seventy-four Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety-five and 45/100 Dollars 23 ($74,495.45) for such equipment. 24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
