11686I RESOLUTION NO. 11, 686 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 4 11648 TO CLARIFY THAT A MEMBER OF THE PROJECT PROGRESS 5 COMMITTEE MUST HAVE A DEGREE OR EXPERIENCE IN 6 TELECOMMUNICATIONS OR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY; AND 7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 11648 (December 16, 2003) the 10 Board created a Project Progress Committee to work under the City Manager and 11 review progress on various capital improvements funded with proceeds of the 12 $70,635,000 Limited Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004), and 13 WHEREAS, Section 2(e) of the resolution requires that a member of this 14 committee have a degree or experience in the field of telecommunications, and 15 WHEREAS, it is appropriate that this requirement be clarified to require such 16 experience or education in telecommunications or information technology, 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. Section (2)(e) of Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 11648 (December 20 16, 2003) is hereby amended to read as follows: 21 (e) One person with a degree or experience in the field of 22 telecommunications or information technology. 23 Section 2. It is the intention of the Board of Directors to assure that as the 24 Project Progress Committee reviews projects that deal with such sensitive issues as 25 emergency communications and information technology there is someone on the Resolution [PAGE 1 of 2] Clarification of Project Progress Committee to include member with telecommunications of information tedmology ekpertise I committee with an expertise in this area who can assist with appropriate comments to 2 the City Manager and the Board of Directors. 3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, 4 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid 5 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 6 portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 7 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 8 ordinance. 9 Section 4. Repealer.
