3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO CONTRACTS WITH TWO ORGANIZATIONS
5 TO PROVIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SUPPORT CENTER
6 SERVICES IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention,
10 intervention, and treatment services to enhance public safety and community- building,
11 and
12 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 03 -298 to solicit proposals for
13 neighborhood support center services to Little Rock residents, and
14 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted,
15 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends the
16 organizations listed below for a contract award.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with the
20 following organizations for neighborhood support center services:

$125,000.00

Black Community Developers — Midtown

1 Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE- Little Rock tax
2 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account
3 number 105 - 035 -T216.
4 Section 3. The term of the contract is for February 11, 2004 to December 31, 2004,
5 and may be extended for two additional one -year terms upon appropriation,
6 satisfactory performance and mutual agreement of the parties.
7 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
8 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
9 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
10 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
1 I originally a part of this resolution.
12 Section 5. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with
13 any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
