116811 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 11,681 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS WITH FOUR ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE YOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD -BASED OUT -OF- SCHOOL PROGRAMS IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building, and WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 03 -296 to solicit proposals for neighborhood- based, out -of- school youth programs and services for Little Rock youth, and WHEREAS, the City was divided into neighborhood service areas with a specified number of providers for each area based upon youth population, and WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends the organizations listed below for a contract award. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contracts with the 23 following organizations for youth initiative project services: 24 1. Greater Friendship, Inc. — East $ 49,582.00 25 2. Pulaski Co. Juvenile Services (Our Club) East 31,498.00 [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution Contract with Four Organizations to Provide Youth Neighborhood -Based Out -of- School Programs in Targeted Neighborhoods 8 Section 3. The term of the contract is for February 11, 2004 to December 31, 2004, 9 and may be extended for two additional one -year terms upon appropriation, 10 satisfactory performance and mutual agreement of the parties. 11 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 12 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 13 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 14 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 15 originally a part of this resolution. 16 Section 5. Repealer.
