3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SIX
5 AUTOMATED SIDE - LOADING REFUSE TRUCKS, AND ONE
6 25 -CUBIC YARD HIGH COMPACTION REFUSE TRUCK; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Public Works Solid Waste Division is in need of Six (6)
10 Automated Side - Loading Refuse Trucks, and one (1) 25 -cubic yard High Compaction
11 Refuse Truck, and
12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #03295 for the
13 purchase of the equipment and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
14 minimum specifications was received from Glovers Truck Parts & Equipment, in the
15 amount of One Million, One Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy-
16 one Dollars ($1,147,871.00).
17 WHEREAS, this equipment will replace older, high mileage refuse trucks;
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
21 into a contract for the purchase of Six (6) Automated Side - Loading Refuse Trucks, and
22 one (1) 25 -cubic yard High Compaction Refuse Truck, for the amount of One Million,
23 One Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy-one Dollars
24 ($1,147,871.00).
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603 -220-
26 2110 - 7060 -10.

Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
