3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO
5 THOUSAND (2,000) 90- GALLON SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS
6 AND ISSUE A
ONE -YEAR ANNUAL
PURCHASE ORDER FOR
7 ADDITIONAL
CARTS NEEDED.;
AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Solid Waste Division must periodically purchase new solid waste
11 containers for delivery to new customers, replace stolen carts, replace damaged carts,
12 and meet the demand for additional carts, and
13 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #03286 for the
14 purchase of the containers, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
15 minimum specifications was received from Diakon Molding, in the amount of Sixty-six
16 Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($66,500.00).
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
20 into a contract for the purchase of two thousand (2,000) 9- gallon Solid Waste Containers
21 from Diakon Molding., for the amount of Sixty -six Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars
22 ($66,500.00), and to issue a 1 -year annual purchase order for additional carts as needed.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603 -220-
24 2110 -2160.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
