3 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF 1998
4 INFRASTRUCTURE BOND CONTINGENCY FUNDS TO
5 IMPROVE COLLINS STREET BETWEEN 3RD STREET AND
6 CLINTON AVENUE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, completion of the Presidential Library Park and Heifer International
9 Headquarters are expected to dramatically increase vehicular traffic in and around the
10 area of 3rd Street and Clinton Avenue, and
11 WHEREAS, Collins Street is the primary north -south connection between
12 Clinton Avenue and 3,d Street east of Interstate 30, and
13 WHEREAS, Collins Street is in need of improvement and funds for the work are
14 available in bond contingency funds;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
16 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. Use of $225,000 of Bond Infrastructure Reserve funds from Fund
18 304 (Account 304 - 220 -A122) for the purpose of improving Collins Street is approved.
19 Section 2. The Public Works Director is authorized to prepare contract
20 documents and seek quotations for the work. Work will not commence until the Board
21 of Directors has authorized contracting with the lowest responsible bidder.
