3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1)
5 LOW GROUND WASTE HANDLING DOZER.; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Public Works Solid Waste Division is in need of one (1) Low
9 Ground Pressure Waste Handling Dozer, and
10 WHEREAS, this Dozer will replace a 1992 model waste handling dozer, and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #03270 for the
12 purchase of the dozer, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
13 minimum specifications was received from J. A. Riggs Tractor Company, in the amount
14 of Two Hundred Ninety-four Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($294,000.00).
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
18 into a contract for the purchase of one (1) Low Ground Pressure Waste Handling Dozer
19 for the Public Works Solid Waste Division from J. A. Riggs Tractor Company., for the
20 amount of Two Hundred Ninety-four Thousand and no /100 Dollars ($294,000.00).
21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603B -BSA-
22 1995 - 7060 -10.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
24 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
25 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
26 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so

declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
