3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1)
5 30 -TON ARTICULATING DUMP TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC
6 WORKS SOLID WASTE DIVISION FROM HEAD & ENGQUIST
7 COMPANY, L.L.C.; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Public Works Street Solid Waste Division is in need of one (1)
10 30 -ton articulating dump truck, and
11 WHEREAS, this dump truck will replace a 1990 model Moxy dump truck, and
12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #03271 for the
13 purchase of the dump truck, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
14 minimum specifications was received from Head & Engquist Company, L.L.C., in the
15 amount of Two Hundred Fifty-three Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-four and 57/100
16 Dollars ($253,134.57).
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
20 into a contract for the purchase of one (1) 30 -ton articulating dump truck for the Public
21 Works Solid Waste Division from Head & Engquist Company, L.L.C., for the amount of
22 Two Hundred Fifty-three Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-four and 57/100 Dollars
23 ($253,134.57).
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603B -BSA-
25 1995 - 7060 -10.

1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
2 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
3 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
4 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
5 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
6 resolution.
7 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
8 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
9 of such inconsistency.
