3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH G & S BUILDERS TO
5 CONSTRUCT A NEW AFFORDABLE HOME AT 600 E. 17TH
6 STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the CDBG and Housing Programs Division constructs new
9 affordable single - family housing for sale to low- income persons, and
10 WHEREAS, the City has prepared plans, advertised bids and proposes to
11 construct a home at 600 E. 17th Street under this program, and
12 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. C03205RR opened October 21, 2003, G & S
13 Builders submitted the most responsible and responsive bid for such construction, said
14 bid being for an amount of Eighty-six Thousand, Two Hundred Eighty-eight and
15 no /100 Dollars ($86,288.00).
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

Section 1. The Board of Directors
hereby authorizes the City Manager
to
19
execute a contract with G & S Builders to
construct a new affordable home, for
an
20 amount not to exceed Eighty-six Thousand, Two Hundred Eighty-eight and no /100
21 Dollars ($86,288.00).
22 Section 2. Funds for this project are available from HOME Fund — Acct. No.
23 HIPP- HOO -G521 and HIPP- HOO -P536.

Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
