3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2)
5 HIGH, SIDE DUMP MECHANICAL STREET SWEEPERS FOR
6 THE PUBLIC WORKS STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION FROM
7 TENNANT SALES AND SERVICE COMPANY; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the Public Works Street Operations Division is in need of two (2)
11 high, side dump mechanical street sweepers, and
12 WHEREAS, these street sweepers will replace two 1995 model Athey Sweepers,
13 and
14 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #03267 for the
15 purchase of the sweepers, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
16 minimum specifications was received from Tennant Sales and Service Company in the
17 amount of Three Hundred Twelve Thousand, Two Hundred Eight and 67/100 Dollars
18 ($312,208.67).
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
22 into a contract for the purchase of two (2) high, side dump mechanical street sweepers
23 for the Public Works Street Operations Division from Tennant Sales and Service
24 Company, for the amount of Three Hundred Twelve Thousand, Two Hundred Eight
25 and 67/100 Dollars ($312,208.67).

1 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #223 -220-
2 7119- 7060 -10.
3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
4 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
5 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
6 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
7 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
8 resolution.
9 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
10 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
11 of such inconsistency.

exceeded requirements.
