115850 1 N RESOLUTION NO. 11,585 0 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH GENESIS 5 ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS FOR CLASS I, CELL 2 6 CLOSURE PLANS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality has required a 9 Class I, Cell 2 Closure as part of the requirements for the issuance of the City of Little 10 Rock's landfill permit, and 11 WHEREAS, a RFQ was issued for professional services and five engineering 12 firms submitted proposals which were evaluated by a committee to determine the firm 13 best qualified to provide the plans and specifications for the partial closure for the 14 landfill, and 15 WHEREAS, Genesis Environmental Consultants was selected to provide the 16 necessary professional services at a cost not to exceed Seventy-seven Thousand, Seven 17 Hundred and no /100 Dollars ($77,700.00); 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 21 into a contract with Genesis Environmental Consultants to provide plans and 22 specifications for a Class I, Cell 2 Closure for the City's landfill, for an amount not to 23 exceed Seventy-seven Thousand, Seven Hundred and no /100 Dollars ($77,700.00). 24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
