3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE SUMMER
5 RECREATION PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention,
8 intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety
9 and community- building, and
10 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 03 -333 to solicit proposals for
I 1 Summer Recreation Programs for Little Rock youth, and
12 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted,
13 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends the
14 organizations listed below for a contract award.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with the
18 following organizations for neighborhood -based prevention programs and services:
19 1. (ICBR) Institute in Community Based Rehabilitation $ 14,484.00
20 2. Centers for Youth and Families 16,971.00
21 3. UAMS — AR Cares
22 4. Promiseland Ministries (Universidad DePromesa)
23 5. Promiseland Ministries (Promise Camp)
24 6. Promiseland Ministries (Camp Positive)
25 7. BCD (Black Community Developers)
26 8. LR Boys /Girls Club — Billy Mitchell

4 Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE- Little Rock tax
5 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account
6 number 105 - 035 -T122.
7 Section 3. The term of the contract is from June 1, 2003 to September 1, 2003.
8 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
9 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
10 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
11 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
12 originally a part of this resolution.
13 Section S. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which
14 are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
15 such conflict.
