3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO
5 VEHICLES FOR THE USE OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM
6 UNIVERSITY TRUCK CENTER FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
7 $60,274.36; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Fire Department is in need of two (2) 4 -wheel drive 1/2 ton
10 Carryalls (GMC Yukon) to replace older, higher - mileage units, and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #03214 for the
12 purchase of the two vehicles, and
13 WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid meeting minimum specifications was
14 received from University Truck Center in the total amount of Sixty Thousand Two
15 Hundred Seventy-four and 36/100 Dollars ($60,274.36)
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
19 into a contract for the purchase of two (2) 4 -wheel drive 1/2 ton Carryalls (GMC Yukon)
20 for the Fire Department from University Truck Center, for the total amount of Sixty
21 Thousand, Two Hundred Seventy-four and 36/100 Dollars ($60,274.36).
22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Short Term Financing
23 Account #223-340-7116-7060-10.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section,. paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
Section 5. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
