A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO AMEND THE 2003 ANNUAL BUDGET
TO PROVIDE UP TO AN ADDITIONAL SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($60,000.00) FOR THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS TRANSIT AUTHORITY
FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF THE CONTINUATION OF SUNDAY
SERVICE UNTIL JUNE 30,2003; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the initial payment of the City to the Central Arkansas Transit
Authority (CATA) for 2003 did not include all of the monies needed to maintain Sunday
service, and
WHEREAS, after two public hearings on service reductions held by CATA, it
was determined that there was a significant interest in maintaining Sunday service, and
WHEREAS, if the City uses monies from the budgeted restricted reserve
account, it can make this additional payment in 2003,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors states its intent to amend the 2003 Annual
19 Budget to include an additional sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00) appropriation for
20 the Central Arkansas Transit Authority (CATA) for the limited purpose of maintaining
21 Sunday service until June 30, 2003.
22 Section 2. Funds for this additional appropriation can be available from the
23 City's 2003 contribution to the restricted reserve account.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
25 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
26 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
27 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so

3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws and parts of laws inconsistent with the
