A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF
5 TWENTY -ONE (21) FULL -SIZE POLICE PATROL SEDANS,
6 NINETEEN (19) FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TWO (2)
7 FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, FROM LANDERS FORD CO.

PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of nineteen (19) full -size police
patrol sedans and the Fire Department is in need of two (2) said sedans,to replace
older, higher - mileage units, and
WHEREAS, the said twenty -one vehicles will be purchased from the 2003
Arkansas State Contract #SP -03 -0033.
WHEREAS, the units will be purchased from Landers Ford, for a total amount
of Four Hundred Thirty -Nine Thousand, Two Hundred Fifty -Seven and no /100 Dollars
($439,257.00)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
into a contract for the purchase of twenty-one (21) full -size police patrol sedans,
nineteen for the Police Department and two (2) for the Fire Department, from Landers
Ford, for the total amount of Four Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Two Hundred
Fifty -Seven and no /100 Dollars ($439,257.00).

1 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2003
2 Replacement Budget Account #223 - 360 - 7118 - 7060 -10.
3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
4 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
5 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
6 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
7 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
8 resolution.
9 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
10 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
11 of such inconsistency.
12 Section 5. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
13 adoption.
