114430 1 2 RESOLUTION NO. 11,443 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO CONTRACT TO PROVIDE YOUTH 5 EMPLOYABILITY, EVALUATION, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE 6 AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION COORDINATION; AND FOR 7 OTHER PURPOSES. E 9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, 10 intervention, and treatment services to enhance public safety, community building, and 11 youth development for Little Rock youth, and 12 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 02 -311 to solicit proposals for 13 youth employability, evaluation, technical assistance and violence prevention 14 coordination, and 15 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, 16 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, and recommends the 17 organization listed below for a contract award. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract with the 21 following organization for youth employability, technical assistance, and violence 22 prevention services: 23 Organization: New Futures for Youth, Inc., in the amount of $194,500.00 24 H 25 H [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution Youth Employability, Evaluation, Technical Assistance and Violence Prevention Coordination 0 2 Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE- Little Rock tax revenue 3 specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account number 105- 4 035 -121. 5 Section 3. The term of the contract is for February 5, 2003 to December 31, 2003. 6 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 7 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 8 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 9 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 10 originally a part of this resolution. 11 Section 5. Repealer.
