114420 1 2 RESOLUTION NO. 111442 0 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO CONTRACT TO PROVIDE YOUTH 5 PREVENTION PROGRAMS (YIP); AND FOR OTHER 6 PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, 9 intervention and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety 10 and community building, and 11 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 02 -308 to solicit proposals for 12 Youth Initiative Programs (YIP), and 13 WHEREAS, the City was divided into neighborhood service areas with a 14 specified number of providers for each area based upon youth population, and 15 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, 16 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidders, and recommends the 17 organizations listed below for a contract award. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract with the 21 following organizations for youth initiative programs and services: 22 Section 1(a) Central 23 1. Little Rock Housing Authority (Male) $ 43,500.00 24 Section 1(b) East 25 1. Little Rock Housing Authority (Male) $ 43,000.00 26 2. The term of the contract is for February 5, 2003 to December 31, 2003. Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution. Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
