114410 0 1 RESOLUTION NO. 11,441 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO CONTRACT TO PROVIDE NEIGHBORHOOD- 5 BASED PREVENTION PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER 6 PURPOSES. 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community building, and WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 02 -306 to solicit proposals for Neighborhood -Based Prevention Programs for Little Rock youth, and WHEREAS, the City was divided into neighborhood service areas with a specified number of providers for each area based upon youth population, and WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends the organizations listed below for a contract award. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract with the following organizations for neighborhood -based prevention programs and services: Section 1(a) Central 1. Pfeifer Camp $ 26,016.00 2. Pulaski County Juvenile Services (Our Clubs) 45,000.00 4 Section 1(c) Midtown 5 1. Catherine's House $ 40,000.00 6 2. Pfeifer Camp 30,406.00 7 3. Girl Scouts of Ouachita Council 43,295.00 8 Section 1(d) Southwest 9 1. Greater Friendship, Inc. $ 44,527.00 10 2. Pfeifer Camp 39,580.00 11 3. Promiseland Ministries 35,250.0 12 Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue 13 specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account number 105- 14 035 -T116. 15 Section 3. The term of the contract is for February 5, 2003 to December 31, 2003. 16 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 17 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 18 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 19 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 20 originally a part of this resolution. 21 Section 5. Repealer.
