RESOLUTION NO. 11,419
3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE SOFTWARE
4 MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN
5 MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, American Management Systems ( "AMS ") is the supplier of the
8 City's financial management software, and
9 WHEREAS, AMS is the sole supplier of software maintenance of this product,
10 and
11 WHEREAS, each year the City of Little Rock pays approximately $113,000 for a
12 maintenance contract with AMS to provide software support for the product, and
13 WHEREAS, as a cost - saving measure, the AMS software maintenance is being
14 phased out in 2003, and reduced in 2002 to the minimum level, and
15 WHEREAS, a contract is necessary to provide one final year of software
16 maintenance to enable Finance and Information Technology Departments to prepare for
17 cancellation of the contract next year.
18 WHEREAS, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
19 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a maintenance
21 contract with American Management Systems to provide software support for the
22 financial management software of the City of Little Rock said contract not to exceed
23 Fifty -five Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty-three and 19/100 Dollars ($55,783.19).
24 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are to be allocated from the IT 2002
25 Departmental Fund.

Section 3. Severabiiity. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of this ordinance.
Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which
are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
