3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TEMPLE, INC., TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL
5 AUTOMATED TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
6 EQUIPMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City has received federal funding to upgrade the traffic signal
9 system for the downtown area, and
10 WHEREAS, pursuant to RFP # 02264R it was determined that the lowest
11 responsible and responsive bidder, and in this instance the only bidder, was Temple, Inc.,
12 to provide the equipment and installation of Phase II of the Downtown Traffic Signal
13 System Upgrade Project,
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Temple,
17 Inc., to provide and install automated transportation management system equipment for
18 Phase II of the Downtown Traffic Signal System Upgrade Project for an amount not to
19 exceed three hundred and eleven thousand three hundred and sixty five dollars
20 ($311,365.00) in accordance with the bid submitted in response to RFP # 02264R.
21 Section 2. Funds for this expenditure are available in Account No. 215 - 220 -A059,
22 and include federal funding for "Downtown Traffic Signal Upgrade (L.R.) (Phase II) (S),
23 AHTD Job No. 0610799, F.A.P. STPU- 9253(45).
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions

I of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
2 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws and parts of laws are hereby repealed to the extent of
4 such inconsistency.
