3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF SELF -
4 CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
5 DEPARTMENT FROM F &F SUPPLY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the City obtained a Department of Justice weapons of mass destruction
8 grant to assist with the purchase of equipment for the Little Rock Fire Department, and in
9 this instance, for the hazardous materials response units ( HAZMAT), and
10 WHEREAS, after the duly published RFP # 02215 was opened on March 15, 2002,
11 and it was determined that of the seven responses the lowest responsible and responsive
12 bidder was F &F Supply of Oden, Arkansas,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with F &F
16 Supply of Oden, Arkansas, in an amount not to exceed seventy-five thousand one hun-
17 dred and forty-seven dollars and thirty cents ($75,147.30), for the purchase of various
18 pieces of self contained breathing apparatus to be used by the HAZMAT units of the Little
19 Rock Fire Department.
20 Section 2. Funds for this purchase, which are provided by a U.S. Department of
21 Justice grant, are available in Account No. 700 - 340 - X0101 - 7110 -(10).
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
23 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconsti-
24 tutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the
25 resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or ad-
26 judged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with
2 this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
