3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT FRIDAY, ELDREDGE & CLARK AS
4 BOND COUNSEL FOR THE PROPOSED 2002 CAPITAL EQUIPMENT
5 SHORT -TERM FINANCING PROJECT AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, it is necessary to have bond counsel to work with the City to perform
8 legal work related to the short -term financing of capital equipment for 2002; and
9 WHEREAS, the City requested proposals from qualified firms to handle this work;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, the proposals were reviewed by a selection committee designated in
12 accordance with City ordinance; and
13 WHEREAS, the committee has concluded that the law firm of Friday, Eldredge &
14 Clark is the most qualified to handle the legal work, and has knowledge and experience
15 with similar financings in Arkansas and nationally.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is herby authorized to enter into an agreement with
19 Friday, Eldredge & Clark to act as bond counsel for the 2002 short -term financing project
20 of capital expenditures.
