112580 0 1 RESOLUTION NO. 111258 2 A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO ASSURE THAT A PROPOSED TRAFFIC 3 SIGNAL ON JOHN BARROW ROAD AT HENDERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL 4 REMAINS THE TOP PRIORITY FOR CONSTRUCTION AND 5 INSTALLATION ONCE FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO DO SO; AND FOR 6 OTHER PURPOSES. 7 WHEREAS, the City Public Works Department has compiled a list of various 8 locations in the City where traffic lights are needed, or have been requested, to assure that 9 these locations meet the various requirements for such devices as established by local, 10 state and federal traffic standards, and the Department has also compiled a list of traffic 11 signals that it believes should be constructed and installed as soon a funding is available, 12 and 13 WHEREAS, a proposed location on John Barrow Road across from Henderson 14 Middle School not only has significant neighborhood support for such a signal, but also 15 meets the various requirements for traffic signals, and has been listed as the first priority 16 of the City's Public Works Department to be constructed and installed once funding is 17 available, and 18 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors believes that of the various locations that have 19 been discussed and presented for consideration this particular light is the most pressing 20 need, 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 22 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors states its intent to construct and install a traffic 24 signal at John Barrow Road across the street from Henderson Middle School as the first [PAGE 1 OF 2] Resolution Priority of traffic signal at Henderson Middle School 0 0 1 priority for traffic signals within the City as soon as funding is available for such this 2 project. 3 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 4 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 5 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions 6 of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or 7 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. s Section 3. Repealer.
