2 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF HEARING ON THE
3 PETITION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF WEST 16TH STREET
4 AT THE RAILROAD CROSSING IN WORTHEN AND BROWN
5 ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.

7 WHEREAS, a member of the Little Rock Board of Directors has made a request
8 that the Board of Directors vacate and abandon, pursuant to its general police power
9 authority under Ark. Code Ann. §14 -54 -104, a portion of West 16th Street at the railroad
10 crossing described as follows:

13 All that portion of West 16th Street 60' right -of -way width
14 between the West right -of -way of Jones Street and the east
15 right -of -way of Woodrow Street adjacent to Blocks 10, 11,
16 14 and 15, Worthen and Brown Addition to the City of Little
17 Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.

21 Subject to any easements for public utilities and drainage as stated in the
22 ordinance of abandonment.

24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
25 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to close the section of the street shall
27 be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock in the Board Room
28 of City Hall at six o'clock p.m. on the 16th day of April 2002.
29 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the
30 manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a
31 newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and have in general circulation in the
32 City of Little Rock.
