RESOLUTION NO. 11,247
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE EASEMENTS FOR UNDERGROUND TELEPHONE FACILITIES
LOCATED IN VARIOUS PUBLIC PARKS THROUGHOUT THE CITY;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Southwestern Bell Telephone Company has requested that the City execute
easements to certain telephone facilities located within various public parks within the City; and
WHEREAS, for many years Southwestern Bell Telephone Company has worked with
officials of the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department in placing within the City parks
infrastructure to serve the needs of government, business and residential subscribers throughout
the City; and
WHEREAS, in several instances the facilities have been placed in public parks by verbal
agreement; and
WHEREAS, after inquiry it appears that several of these easements have never been
properly recorded and it is necessary to record these easements of record.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute easements for
Southwestern Bell Telephone Company facilities located in the following City parks on forms
approved by the City Attorney;
1. Wakefield Park
2. Chicot Park
3. Offenheimer Park
4. Gilliam Park
5. MacArthur Park
6. Southside Park
7. Interstate Park
