RESOLUTION NO._ 11 249
A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT WRIGHT, LINDSEY & JENNINGS BOND
COUNSEL, AND MORGAN KEEGAN AS BOND UNDERWRITER FOR THE
PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF PARKING GARAGE REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 2002;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to have bond counsel to work with the City to perform legal work to
assure the issuance of Parking Garage Revenue Bonds, Series 2002; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to have underwriters provide the best financial terms for the bonds; and
WHEREAS, the City requested proposals from qualified firms to handle this work; and
WHEREAS, the proposals were reviewed by selection committees designated in accordance with City
ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the committees have concluded that the law firm of Wright, Lindsey & Jennings is the
most qualified to handle the legal work, and the firm of Morgan Keegan has the knowledge and experience
with similar financings in Arkansas and nationally as an underwriter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the firms of
Wright, Lindsey & Jennings to act as bond counsel, and Morgan Keegan to act as underwriter for this bond
issue.
