WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and treatment services to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development for Little Rock youth, WHEREAS, the current contracts for these services have an option for two additional one -year extensions based upon performance and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations; and, WHEREAS, calendar year 2002 is the second one -year extension conditionally authorized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the following organizations for gang intervention services for youth for an additional one -year period: 1. Little Rock Boys & Girls Club — Central (Male) 2. Little Rock Boys & Girls Club - Southwest (Male) 3. BCD - Midtown (Male) 4. BCD - Midtown (Female) 5. BCD - Central (Male) 6. Step Up Center — Southwest (Female) 7. Step Up Center - Southwest (Male) 8. Little Rock Housing Authority (Male) TOTAL $ 34,784 34,784 48,900 48,900 48,900 49,000 49,000 47,500 361,768 SECTION 2.
