111650 0 RESOLUTION NO. 11,165 A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR LITTLE ROCK PARKS AND RECREATION'S GRANT FOR A TOURISM FEASIBILITY STUDY. A resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism for a grant for a tourism feasibility study. WHEREAS, Little Rock, Arkansas seeks to improve tourism opportunities in central Little Rock recreation facilities and wishes to seek grant funding assistance; and WHEREAS, in order to obtain the funds necessary to develop a feasibility study it is necessary to obtain a 50/50 Matching Grant form the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism's; and WHEREAS, this governing body understands the grantee and grantor will enter into a binding agreement which obligates both parties to policies and procedures contained in the Grants Manual. WHEREAS, the City Council is well aware and apprised of the above - mentioned project, and will secure the local portion of the cost of the project. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOVED BY THE LITTLE ROCK CITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS: the City Manager is hereby authorized to make application to the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism for assistance to develop a feasibility study, therefore such application shall be submitted as expediently as possible.
