3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE
4 TWO (2) FOUR -WHEEL DRIVE ONE -HALF TON SUBURBAN CARRYALL
5 VEHICLES FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has a need for two (2) four -wheel drive
8 one -half ton suburban carryall vehicles, and
9 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid was advertised through a request for proposals,
10 it was determined that Landers Chevrolet of Benton, Arkansas, submitted the lowest
11 responsible and responsive bid,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
13 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase two (2) Chevrolet fourt-
15 wheel drive one -half ton suburban carryall vehicles from Landers Chevrolet of Benton,
16 Arkansas, for an amount not to exceed fifty seven thousand seven hundred and twelve
17 dollars and eighty cents ($57,712.80).
18 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the 2001 Fleet Carryover
19 Replacement Count – Account No. 210 - 360 -A485.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
21 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
22 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions
23 of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
24 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with
26 this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
