3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE FAMILY SERVICE AGENCY TO
5 PROVIDE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIM OUTREACH SERVICES
6 TO LITTLE ROCK RESIDENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $42,191; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock issued a Request for Proposals for domestic violence
10 victim outreach services for Little Rock residents, and
11 WHEREAS, a five member selection committee identified and recommended the most
12 qualified applicant for the Domestic Violence Victim Outreach Program Contract, and,
13 WHEREAS, after reviewing the proposals of the responding agencies Family Service
14 Agency was selected to provide the designated services.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract negotiations with the
18 Family Service Agency to provide victim outreach services for the Little Rock Commission on
19 Domestic Violence.
20 Section 2. The contract's terms shall be for one year from November 1, 2001 to October
21 31, 2002, and may be extended for one additional one -year period upon satisfactory performance,
22 mutual agreement of the parties, and appropriation of funds.
23 Section 3. Funding for this contract shall not exceed $42,191 and shall come from
24 Commission on Domestic Violence funds.
25 Section 4. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph,
26 subparagraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
27 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions
28 of this resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
29 invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, policies, or parts of any such
31 material, in conflict with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
32 inconsistency.
