3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE ANNUAL CONTRACTS FOR
4 MINERAL AGGREGATES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has to purchase mineral aggregate for
7 various projects during the course of a year, and
8 WHEREAS, the various types of mineral aggregate were the subject of a'Public Bid
9 No. C01024, and it was determined that Granite Mountain Quarries provided the lowest
10 responsible and responsive bids for the various types of aggregate that the City will need
11 to purchase during the course of a one year period,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
13
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

Section 1.
The City Manager is authorized to purchase mineral aggregate
15
pursuant to annual contracts for that purpose from Granite Mountain Quarries pursuant
16
to the following pricing guidelines per ton of material:
17
(a)
Asphalt Aggregate Hot Mix 1/2" $ 7.42;
18
(b)
Base Aggregate Class 7 Base Course -SB2 5.50;
19
(c)
Road Ballasts 6.80;
20
(d)
Class "B" Stones (No Fines) from 5" to 2" 5.75;
21
(e)
Rip -Rap # 1 8.10;

Stone Chip (Chip Seal Material /Class 2 Mineral Aggregate) 13.26.

Section 2.
Funding for these various purchases will be available from Account
24 No. 200-220-2210-3020.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
27 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions

1 of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
2 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with
4 this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
