111140 0 1 RESOLUTION NO. 11,114 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER 100 TAXI CAB OPERATOR 4 PERMITS FROM CAPITOL CAB COMPANY TO PULASKI COUNTY 5 TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, LLC; TO REPEAL LITTLE ROCK, 6 ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 10,964 (December 19, 2000); AND FOR 7 OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the City has limited the number of taxi cab operator permits that it will issue and, 10 for last year issued only three operator permits with one to a single operator, one to a fleet operated 11 by Capitol Cab Company, and one to a fleet operated by Greater Little Rock Transportation, LLC, and 12 WHEREAS, an agreement has been reached in which a company owned by some of the 13 principals of Greater Little Rock Transportation, LLC, and operating under the name Pulaski County 14 Transportation Services, LLC, is going to purchase the assets of Capitol Cab Company, and Capitol 15 Cab Company will cease to operator as a taxi cab fleet operator, and 16 WHEREAS, it is understood that this new company will begin operations on September 1, 17 2001, and 18 WHEREAS, with the expanded insurance requirements being applicable to this new franchise, 19 the City is comfortable with the transfer of these permits, 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. One hundred (100) taxi cab operator permits currently held by Capitol Cab 23 Company pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,964 (December 19, 2000), are hereby 24 transferred to Pulaski County Transportation, LLC, effective September 1, 2001, provided Pulaski 25 County Transportation, LLC, makes the necessary showing of financial responsibility required by the 26 Little Rock Transportation Code. 27 Section 2. Except as affected by Section 1 above, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,964 28 (December 19, 2000), is hereby repealed, and all taxi cab operator permits of Capitol Cab Company 29 are declared void. Pulaski County Transportation, LLC, acting either alone or in combination with 2 Greater Little Rock Transportation, LLC, will be permitted to use the business names Capitol Cab, 3 Veteran's Cab, Black & White Cab, or Yellow Cab, with any of the permits being utilized pursuant to 4 this resolution, and pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,999 (February 13, 2001), provided 5 that accurate information is always made available promptly to any person who requests it which 6 identifies the ownership of the company. 7 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 8 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 9 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall 10 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional 11 was not originally a part of the resolution. 12 Section 5. Repealer.
