RESOLUTION NO. 11 , 087
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH
LITTLE ROCK BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB - WHETSTONE
TO PROVIDE YOUTH PREVENTION PROGRAMS
TARGETED FOR YOUTH IN SOUTHWEST LITTLE
ROCK.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock funds contracts for prevention, intervention and
treatment programs to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development; and,
WHEREAS, the City released a Request for Proposal in a competitive bid process to
solicit organizations to provide youth prevention programs targeted for southwest Little Rock
youth; and,
WHEREAS, a five- member selection committee reviewed proposals and recommends an
award to the lowest responsible bidder: Little Rock Boys and Girls Club - Whetstone.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract negotiations with
the following organization for the provision of services to youth in Southwest Little Rock:

Program Budget
Little Rock Boys and Girls Club — Whetstone $132,714.00
SECTION 2. The contract's term shall be from July 4, 2001 to June 30, 2002.
SECTION 3. Funding for these programs is from funds remaining from the 2000 PIT
program contracts, and FUTURE Little Rock 2001 allocation, account number 210 - 035 -13168.
