A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH G &S BUILDERS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $67,760 TO BUILD A HOME AT 1101 DENNISON;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City requested proposals to build an affordable home at 1101 Dennison
Street, and G &S Builders submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid in the amount of
$67,760, and
WHEREAS, this home will be constructed in accordance with the CDBG Consolidated
Plan, and will utilize federal funds to do so,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with G &S
Builders to construct a home at 1101 Dennison for an amount not to exceed sixty seven thousand
seven hundred and sixty ($67,760.00) dollars.
Section 2. Funding for this project will be taken from the federal monies in the
Affordable Home Program Funds.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall
remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional
was not originally a part of the ordinance.
Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions inconsistent with this resolution,
including but not limited to Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 18,409 (December 26, 2000) ( "the
2001 Budget ordinance "), are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
